“What is the IAS?”
The International Association of Scientologists: Benefactors of Social Betterment
Educator and IAS Freedom Medal winner Ann Roberts (left and above) has brought L. Ron Hubbard‘s study technology to The Gambia.
The International Association of Scientologists, composed of Scientologists from all nations, is benefactor to member projects that either contribute to the well-being of mankind or help eradicate threats to religious freedom.
On every continent, one finds IAS members at the forefront of humanitarian anti-drug, criminal reform and literacy efforts.
As but one example of the impact of IAS support, a U.K. member and educator, Ann Roberts, has successfully implemented Mr. Hubbard‘s study technology into the education systems of many African countries where it is playing a vital role in upgrading the quality of education.
In particular, workshops and teacher training programmes funded by IAS grants first brought L. Ron Hubbard‘s study technology to The Gambia in 2001. It was received with open arms and is now in use throughout the country. The Secretary of State for Education for The Gambia, Mrs. Ann Therese Ndong Jatta said, “When I first encountered this technology, my mind went wild with possibilities. Just by bringing this to my country, I could change things, not only for the better, but for the best. The quality of education in our country is now accelerating. We are proud to be the first country in Africa to have fully implemented study technology on a national scale.”
